SHARP infos AFP sur les futures émissions HD

bizarre tout ca, faudrait un avis sûr maintenant,

en tout cas les télés sharp peuvent se mettre à jour, avoir une telle fonction et ne pas avoir prévu le coup de la gestion du MPEG-4 dans le futur ca serait idiot de leur part....

Quand on regarde un ordinateur, il suffit d'installer un codec pour prendre en compte de nouveau format de videos, de sons...etc. Le fait d'intervenir au niveau software suffit donc pour un ordi.
Il est pour ma part pas idiot qu'il en soit de même pour la télé.

Je me répète mais il serait idiot de la part de sharp que cela n'en soit pas ainsi.
En tout cas j'espère qu'à la hotline c'est bien la vérité qu'ils m'ont dit.

Est-ce seul le tuner TNT HD qui les différencient des autres ???

Enfin pas la peine de tourner en rond.... Si quelqu'un à confirmation ou infirmation de ce qu'on m'a dit par une personne de confiance (rappel pour ma part un hotliner du SAV)....

En tout cas pour ma part, si ce qu'on m'a dit est vrai c'est intelligent d'avoir géré ca côté software et non hardware.... Mais je comprends vos doutes qui sont les miens également, car d'un point de vue commercial ca serait très intelligent également de gérer cela côté hardware, au moins ca pousse à la consommation et au renouvellement du matériel...

Le mpeg4 et bien plus complexe à compressé/décompressé que le mpeg2 .Un simple software ne suffirait pas.
Je suis sur qu'une simple mise à jour ne permettra pas de faire gagner 150€ à un téléviseur existant.
Les caractéristiques des écrans sont décrites et figées.

Concernant le prix plus élevé de la série HD1, je pense que c'est plutot le disque dur de 160Go et le timeshifting qui fait la différence la plus importante...

Concernant la technique de lecture (car je vois pas en quoi la télé ferai de la compression du flux video et la compression étant pour moi l'opération la plus lourde), je continue de rester persuadé que cela est possible au niveau software.
Si un ordinateur est capable de le faire, ou une freebox par exemple en streaming, je vois pas en quoi il serait impossible pour une télé de le faire également...
La question est de savoir si Sharp fait effectivement cela au niveau software...

Dans le temps j'ai possédé un modem ADSL qui, par une simple mise à jour du logiciel, pouvait être transformé en son grand frère modem/routeur ADSL 3 fois plus cher...

C'est uniquement parceque les téléviseurs équipés de tuner mpeg4 sont des modèles hauts de gamme au point de vue dalle et traitement de l'image.
Un nouveau téléviseur est un investissement, autant ne pas avoir à débourser 200 euros dans un avenir proche dans un tuner externe...

Il est peu probable qu'une simple MAJ software permette à l'écran d'accéder au décodage d'un flux MPEG4, comme l'a souligné fmonnet, ce dernier requiert une puissance de calcul très importante et nul doute que le constructeur l'aurait mis en avant dans ses plaquettes marketing si cela avait été le cas.

C'est pas gentil de me citer sans le smiley que j'avais inséré à dessein dans le texte! Il n'empêche que très souvent, c'est le marketing qui décide de la politique tarifaire et qu'un produit pourra être présenté à un tarif qui n'a rien à voir avec le coût de fabrication, simplement parce que le client est prêt à payer ce prix, ou parce qu'un prix trop bas . Voir beaucoup de produits dits "de luxe" par exemple (et les cosmétiques en particulier).

Si l'on prend par exemple les Sharp HD1E et XL2E, la dalle et l'électronique et plus récente sur le XL2E mais le HD1E inclus un tuner TNT HD (200€ maxi à ce jour) et un disque dur de 160Go (60€) ainsi que le soft pour la gestion du timeshifting. Je dirais que ça vaut dans les 400 à 500€ de plus, sans tenir compte de la dalle et de l'électronique difficile à estimer.

La différence de prix entre les deux modèles en 46 pouces est de 1500€ (prix FNAC/Darty etc...)!!! Pourquoi? Parce qu'il est des gens qui considèrent que ces fonctions supplémentaires valent ce surcoût et son prêts à payer pour les avoir!

Je pourrais parler de l'IPhone aussi, qu'il suffit de comparer à un iPod Touch pour réaliser les marges qu'Apple doit faire dessus...

En ce qui concerne le modèle avec tuner mpeg4 que je connais bien, le Philips 37PFL9642D, D...Y comme beaucoup le commercialise à 1600 euros. Si on déduit le prix d'un module NETGEM à 189€ ou SAGEM ITD 81 HD à 199€, ça le ramène à un tarif tout à fait comparable à la concurrence non équipé en tuner HD.
C'est uniquement en fonction de cela que j'ai réagi.
Ce que je voulais également faire passer comme message, c'est que lorsqu'on change de téléviseur, et c'est mon cas, autant prendre un matériel qui ne sera pas dépassé d'ici quelques mois.
Maintenant à chacun d'évaluer le surcoût et libre à Sharp ou à d'autres constructeurs de pratiquer des tarifs qui leur plaisent...

Perso je ne pense pas que le MPEG-4 demande des ressources de fou...
Quand on lit un film sur un ordi, l'activité du processeur ne bronche pas des masses.
Je pense qu'il ne faut pas confondre la compression d'une video en MPEG-4 et la lecture de cette video...

Mais bon, tort ou raison, c'est pas ca qui fait avancer le schmilblick....

CES 2008: Sharp Unveils Highly-Innovative Web-Enabled AQUOS LCD TVs, Gaming HDTVs - As well as loads of other goodies

Just about every major name in the CE industry has come out with a new series of products at CES 2008, with TV sets (both plasmas and LCDs) being among the most popular announcements. So it's no wonder that Sharp has also joined this HDTVs galore, announcing quite a large number of new models in its AQUOS LCD TV series.


One of the most important developments presented by Sharp together with its new line of TVs is represented by the AQUOS Net service, which brings Internet content and remote diagnostics to AQUOS LCD TVs at the touch of a button. Furthermore, in order to connect the AQUOS to an Internet source in another room utilizing existing electrical wiring, Sharp debuts several PLC (Powerline Communication) adapters.

The first family of products we'll tackle is the AQUOS Widescreen 1080p HDTV Series ("Special Edition" SE94) which includes 65-, 52- and 46-inch screen class sizes and features the latest version of Sharp's proprietary Advanced Super View (ASV) panel for a Dynamic Contrast Ratio of up to 27,000:1, a response time of just around 4 ms and 176-degree viewing angles.

Moreover, the "Special Edition" AQUOS series features Sharp's proprietary 5-wavelength backlight system that provides an enhanced color spectrum, producing more vivid, deeper reds and greens. Additionally, all the units include 3 HDMI (version 1.3 with x.v.Color and 24fps compatibility) inputs as well as dual HD component terminals, all of which are compatible with 1080p signals. The 65-inch and 52-inch LC-65SE94U and LC-52SE94U models are slated for a January release ($10,999.99 and $4,199.99 respectively), while the 46-inch LC-46SE94U will be available in February for an MSRP of $3,199.99.

Next on Sharp's list of announcements is the AQUOS Widescreen 1080p HDTV LC-52D74U, which delivers full HD 1080p (1920 x 1080) resolution, a whopping 18,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio for deep blacks and crisp picture quality, enhanced Quick Shoot video circuitry for faster pixel response time of 4 ms and wide viewing angles of 176 degrees, so users can view the television from virtually anywhere in the room. Moreover, the LC-52D74U also includes Sharp's proprietary 4-wavelength backlight system, an Ethernet adapter in order to access the AQUOS.NET service, three HDMI (version 1.3 with x.v.Color and 24fps compatibility) inputs as well as two HD component terminals, all of which are compatible with 1080p signals. The LC-52D74U is supposed to arrive at some point in April for a MSRP of $3,599.99.

Furthermore, Sharp is also showcasing a LCD behemoth, namely the 108-inch Full HD 1080p model, which measures 93.9-inches (W) by 52.9-inches (H) in size (2.38 m x 1.34 m), and features Sharp's Advanced Super View LCD Panel.

After seeing these widescreen monsters, it's time to move to the opposite side of the diagonal size spectrum and talk about Sharp's smaller LCDs. Thus, the company has also announced the addition of
32- and 37-inch screen size classes to its "slim-line" D64U Series of AQUOS Full HD 1080p HDTVs, which already includes 42-, 46-, 52- and 65-inch screen size classes.

The new 37- and 32-inch screen class sizes feature the slim-line design with 25% thinner depth than previous models, deliver full 1080p (1920 x 1080) resolution. The built-in ASV panel enables a Dynamic Contrast Ratio of 10,000:1 and a response time of 6ms, and the device also incorporates a standard set of connectivity options, including here two HDMI inputs (version 1.3) and two HD component video inputs, all 1080p compatible, an RS-232C input for control, and a PC input so the TV can be used as a PC monitor.

The LC-37D64U is supposed to arrive in February at an MSRP of $1,599.99, while the LC-32D64U will be available in this month for an MSRP of $1,299.99.

Next in Sharp's new line-up are the widescreen 37- and 32-inch HDTV AQUOS D44 models, which share pretty much the same features with the D64U series, although they provide just a 1366 x 768 resolution, a true 16:9 aspect ratio, a 7500:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio, as well as built-in ATSC/QAM/NTSC tuners. The LC-37D44U will be available in February for an MSRP of $1,299.99 and the LC-32D44U will be available in January for an MSRP of $999.99.

Finally, the company has also released a new Full HD 1080p AQUOS LCD gaming model series, the LC-32GP3U, crafted specifically for video game enthusiasts, which sports a 32-inch screen class size. The AQUOS model is available in three glossy-finish colors - black, white and wine dark red, and provides a "game mode" which optimizes the picture quality for game-playing, as well a custom-designed remote control that allows the user to quickly "jump" into the game mode, and access the side-placed terminals for easy connections to video games.

Other highlights of the LC-32GP3U include a 10,000:1 Dynamic contrast ratio, a 6 ms response time (not that great for a gaming-oriented device), three HDMI v1.3 inputs (with one on the side) as well as two HD component terminals, used for delivering resolutions up to 1920 x 1080 24 fps (frames per second).

In order to complete its line-up, Sharp has also introed the BD-HP50U Blu-ray player, which supports BD-ROM Profile 1.1, or BD Live, the latest version of the Blu-ray Disc format, and comes prepared with everything an user might need in order to enjoy their home-cinematographic experience. The device is supposed to arrive in stores at some point in the Spring of 2008, at a MSRP of around 800 US dollars.
