colorimeter with SDK?

Hi,
I have a question regarding colorimeters in general rather than your software (sorry about that, but I still hope you can help me - if this topic belongs into diferent category, I ask the administrator to move it. My french isn't that good:).

I am looking for a colorimeter with an accessible SDK (like 'GRETAG-MACBETH Eye-One Display II', for example).

All I need is to be able to get the actual color on an LCD monitor by a command in one of the standard programming languages (C, C++, Java, ...).

Have a look on argyll.
I'm pretty sure that there is an API available (with the corresponding drivers for your tool)

What kind of software are you working on ?
