Désolé d'ajouter de la concurrence au DAC Atoll pas encore écouté...
le Music hall est aussi proposé avec des Tweaks d'upgrade en Californie chez: http://affordableaudio.biz

première possibilité:
Modifications for the Music Hall CD 25.2 $175.00
New from Affordable Audio, a great mod at a great price. We replace the output chips on the CD 25.2, change the coupling caps for Solens, replace critical resistors with Caddocks, and replace the stock diodes with hexfreds for an amazing upgrade in sound. Introductory price $175, or $150 with purchase of unit.

ou encore:
Mods for the Music Hall DAC 25.2
Starting at: $250.00
Our latest mod improves on the new Music Hall DAC 25.2, already a terrific value.
With a tube output, a multitude of digital inputs, and a clean signal path, the Music Hall DAC 25.2 is a great unit at a great price.

We make it even better with our mods, which include Solen capacitors for coupling, Caddock resistors for critical audio locations and upgraded opamps in the signal path. All at an Affordable price.

Upgrade price, for your unit: $250
Price with new unit: $225, save $25.
New! Our diode board replaces the monolithic diode boards in the stock DAC for an even more refined sound. Level 2 mod: $100.
New! Level 3 mod with Hovland output caps, $100.

et un autre encore plus étonnant offrant le choix dans une seule bête: DAC à tubes ou transistors et étage de sortie à tubes!!! faut-il en rêver?

Monarchy Audio NM 24 DAC
$1,590.00
The Monarchy Audio NM 24 is much more than a DAC.
It's three units in one package:
a tube DAC
a solid state DAC
a tube Line Amp.

The DAC is outstanding, with solid performance. It is then mated with a great tube output stage, which is then sent to a tube line amp.

Why is there a Solid State DAC in addition to the tube DAC?

Many customers want tubes for the liquidity
Others want maximum accuracy (from the Solid State)
Others want deep bass(easier attainable from SS) and a subwoofer outlet
Yet others want a coupling transformer that couples the SS DAC back
into the Line Amp section for an instant A/B comparison.
Others want to have a SS reference when they insert different tubes.

You may evaluate the sound of the Solid State DAC by
feeding its output back into NM24's tube Line In, either directly with
a good (short) RCA interconnect, or better still,
through a coupling transformer.

In either case, you have an outstandingly flexible DAC that you can tailor to your taste.

encore des tweaks:

Hello,
