SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Today, Dolby Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE: DLB) announced commitment from Netflix to deliver the first global combined Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision high-dynamic range (HDR) streaming experience to consumers around the world. Netflix members will soon be able to experience Okja, the critically praised Netflix Original Film, in both formats. Additional supported titles are coming soon, and the catalog will continue to grow.

Dolby Atmos delivers an immersive sound experience that places and moves audio anywhere around you, including overhead, so that viewers feel as if they are in the middle of the story. Leveraging the high-dynamic range innovation that powers Dolby's most advanced cinemas around the world, Dolby Vision transforms the TV experience in the home by delivering greater brightness and contrast, as well as a fuller palette of rich colors using dynamic metadata and Dolby's intelligent display mapping engine in each playback device.

The combined Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision streaming experience from Netflix will be available on 2017 LG OLED TVs pending an update soon.

Today on Xbox, consumers can access Dolby Atmos content when connecting their console to a Dolby Atmos enabled home theater system, TV or soundbar, or via headphones using the new Dolby Atmos for headphones feature available for purchase through the Dolby Access app in the Xbox Store. The 2017 lineup of LG OLEDs already have built-in Dolby Atmos capabilities that create an immersive soundscape around you without the need to connect to an external Dolby Atmos enabled system.

Over time, Netflix plans to roll out support to additional devices, making the Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision combined experience more accessible to Netflix members around the globe.

Starting with Okja: Adding More Dimension to Storytelling

I’m pleased to announce the addition of Dolby Atmos® support on Netflix beginning with Okja, a critically praised film directed by Bong Joon Ho that recently debuted at the Cannes Film Festival, and is available globally on Netflix starting today.

Much like how 4K and HDR bring more stunning and realistic visuals to the screen, Dolby Atmos delivers captivating sound that places and moves audio anywhere in the room, including overhead, to bring entertainment to life all around you, all in the comfort of your own living room. Bright (December)
Wheelman (2017)

Many of these titles will also be available in 4K and HDR, delivering spectacular visuals to complement the immersive sound.

Today, Dolby Atmos streaming is supported on Microsoft’s Xbox One and Xbox One S. Support for 2017 LG OLED TVs is coming soon. On the Xbox, you can get this experience when your console is connected to a Dolby Atmos enabled home theater system, TV or soundbar, or via headphones using the new Dolby Atmos for headphones feature available for purchase through the Dolby Access app in the Xbox Store. The LG OLED TVs have built-in Dolby Atmos capabilities that create a 360° sound field around you without the need to connect an external sound system.

Bonjour,

Est ce que quelqu'un arrive à sortir en 1080p (sur un écran 4k) en lecture bluray ?
J'ai forcé le 1080p dans la configuration, l'interface est bien affichée en 1080p mais quand je lis un bluray HD j'obtiens systématiquement une sortie en 4K.

J'aimerais au moins pouvoir comparer le résultat de l'upscale xbox avec l'upscale Sony.

a voté : diffuseur 4K (samsung 65KS7500) et ampli Sony non atmos (à changer un jour, mais pas forcément un atmos à moins que ça devienne "de base") en 5.1. Comme j'ai qu'une X1 pas S, que mon diffuseur soit en 4K ne change pas grand chose au fait que je n'ai que du 1080p qui s'affiche (forcément ça sera une autre histoire à la sortie de la XX...).

Un Ampli Sony branché à une Xbox One .... et t'est tjrs en vie ? Cela n'a pas explosée ????

Plus sérieusement c'est vrai que ce n'est pas très connu en France mais Sony fait aussi des ampli HC intégré

Avant la Samsung j'avais une tv Sony aussi et avant cet ampli Sony, j'avais déjà un autre Sony. Ils font des amplis d'un bon rapport q/p pour des petites pièces qui demandent pas un volume sonore important (ce qui est mon cas vu que ce n'est pas une salle dédiée)

Les HP sont des petites kef biblio avec une centrale Bose. Je les ai depuis mon premier ampli DPL tout pourri et je ne compte pas en changer pour le moment...
