Color HCFR support for X-Rite's Display 3 and Colormunki

Message » 03 Juil 2011 2:12

Is there any plans to support X-Rite's Display 3 Tristimulus Colorimeter and ColorMunki in the foreseeable future?

(Please excuse me for using English)

Which ColorMunki do you mean?
ColorMunki Display (Colorimeter) or ColorMunki Photo/Design (Spectrophotometer)?

Hi,

HCFR' team work on it.

A beta version is available, (but IMHO not totaly reliable) with the colormunki design (Spectrophotometer, I own one).

At this time, I don't know when a final version will be available.

On what?
On the new X-Rite i1Display Pro/ColorMunki Display/OEM i1Display (Colorimeter) or ColorMunki Photo/Design (Spectrophotometer) or both?
A beta version is available, ...
Where can I download this version for Windows?

Hi,

on the spectrophotometer like that :

or that :

About the beta version, some people use it (with windows and one with a mac'instosh) , (including some AVS forum or AVForums's members) but as I said above, we (I'm not alone) have some doubts about the reliability of Argyll's pilot link with that meter.

So Color HCFR uses Argyll under the hood? (What is a "pilot link"?)
This still doesn't answer my question "Where can I download this beta version for Windows?".

Hi,

I'm not sure it could be useful (for you or for us) to use this version which is not really reliable. It's only a beta version and it's not available for public.

And yes, HCFR Team use Argyll' pilot for that meter because we hadn't information we need from X'rite about the pilot for this meter.

What does the term "pilot" mean in this context?

Thank you for the link.

Is there support for any spectrophotometer (e.g. i1 Pro) in Color HCFR?

Hi,

You're surely right about spectrophotometer (i.e. E1 pro or another) and I don't know when the HCFR software new version (i.e. usable with colormunki photo or design) will be available. Sorry.

The Colormunki first appeared 3! years ago. A long time for a new software version...

Hi,

I know

I bought my colormunki two years ago and the first beta version was only available in march 2010. HCFR team is busy on another things and I'm waiting the last update since that date. There are some progress "sometime" but not a really final version.
