Super boulot, impressionnant l'architecture de cet ampli. C'est quoi la puissance du transfo ?

Hi, I came across this looking to see if I could find ways of changing the fans on a T973. Mine needs changed also. I just had a few questions. I found those Noctura fans but I see you changed the 3 to the old fan 2 connectors, did you do this by soldering or twisting the wires and sealing with a heated sleeve? Did you use any of the adaptors that came with the new fans to slow the speed? Looks like you sleeved the full length of the wires also what did you use for that? I am asking to see if I could be able to tackle this task myself. You work is really clean and looks like a great installation. Thanks.

Hi,
Yes I cut a small length of cable behind the plugs of the original fans and I resoldered the cables of the new tops with a small piece of heat shrink tubing.
I actually used heat-shrink tubing over the entire length of the cables to protect them.
The operation is very simple to carry out, it allows to dust everything well and the silence afterwards is really worth it.

Hi thanks that is the action I am going to take with the heat shrinking. I am glad you added that it is silent. Mine is getting annoying. I ordered the new fans but will have to wait to get other needed hardware since we are on lock down in Toronto Ontario Canada again for another 28 days. Thanks again I will add my experience with this fan replacement once I do it.

Hello,
Yes I can no longer hear my amp with the new fans.
I await your return, take your time to disassemble and clean everything.
Locate the cables and you're done !!
Good luck and good luck with the confinement. :bravo:

Hi it has been less then a year how have the new fans held up. I am starting to hear them in the rack but not as loud as before I am going to take the amp out to clean it.
