Does HCFR work with the new Spyder3 Express? When I run HCFR, I get a message "Spyder3.dll returns an error during initialization."

Hi Greyhound.

I'm interested by the new Spyder3 Express to calibrate my laptop computer. Try to install the spyder3 software and copy the 'spyder3.dll' in the HCFR installation directory.
I found in this topic : viewtopic.php?f=1134&t=29904800 that you have to copy the dll to make it works but I don't know with the spyder3 express.
Let me know if you solved the issue, I want to buy a Spyder3 but I don't know if I have to take the 'express' or 'pro' model.

I've done that and still gotten the error message.

Hum, maybe try to download the software for Spyder3 Elite or Pro on Datacolor website (http://support.datacolor.com/index.php? ... ds&_a=view). Install it and copy the spyder3.dll from this software and try again.
Apparently, the Spyder3 Elite and Pro have the same hardware, only the software disable some functions. I don't know if the Express hardware is the same as Pro and Elite... Try it, it cost nothing.

In response to my e-mail, Datacolor told me that the Spyder3 Express hardware was different from the Elite and Pro hardware.

Une question s'il vous plait - Copiez-vous trois fichiers (CGamma.dll, Spyder3.dll, CSensor.dll) dans Pilote_USB, ColorHCFR, et Sysem32 ou copier seulement Spyder3.dll fichier?
