Maintenant que mon dvd A1 UD est configuré et que je crois vraiment avoir une très belle source, je réfléchis à changer mes enceintes.
Je suis attiré par 3 Tannoy kensington en facade et des mini autographes en surround. Est ce que quelqu'un a déjà entendu des kensigton dans une istallation home cinéma?

je suis en vacances et je viens de recevoir mon code de Denon, je finirai mon upgrade mi aout.
Peux-tu me dire comment afficher ma config Home cinéma? J'ai modifié mon profil et ma config est dedans, mais elle n'apparait pas.
Comme tu as vu, je pense changer d'enceintes et dois dire que ton système multi-multi canals a l'air très impréssionnant... ça fait longtemp que tu as ces waterfall?
est-ce que ça marche aussi bien en hifi que en home cinéma?

Premiers retours sur AVS en lecture SACD Pure direct via DL:

I installed and configured it. I also did a firmware upgrade, then I'd just the time to test a BD with DL4 and a SACD (the dark side of the moon).

To have the DL4 working with a BD was not so immediate, since I realized after some time that the audio is anyway transported by the HDMI (the DLINK indicator remains off). You have to set the audio input to Auto and the digital input on DENONLINK, then the third blu led on the front lights on durign playback, indicating the dlink is controlling the jitter. If you specify your input is digital there is no audio at all.

Not enough time to see what're the difference with and without the DL4 with BD. My first impression about the A1 video vs the samsung BDP-1500, is that the standard settings give you a darker picture, so I've to work to tweak it.

SACD first impressions. The results with the 'dark side of the moon' using the dlink transport, are simply impressive. With the SACD the AVP dlink indicator is on together with the DSD indicator. I perceived a huge difference listening in pure direct., that was better and better, but I need more time to test this more carefully.

Next tests at the end of august and I'll keep you posted. First of all I've to check the difference btw al24 and al32.

As for the a1-udi , it's an excellent player. It plays anything you throw at it ,in a unique way. Not only has much better picture quality, by far the best i've ever seen yet, but also the best audio quality in every aspect that can be checked at.Sacd's sound like never before, even with avp, the sound is more open , wider, crispier , and at the same time more gentle -soft to my ears.Making me wonder what the hell have theese magicians in japan done to this player and it sounds so naturally perfect.
It is in it's own category , and will be there for a long time.
Actually it's a category it self.(greek saying)
While others just dream of getting close , not only it's pewrformance , but built too.
Bd picture is larger than life. I mean that. Bd sound , especially with dl4 and avp also. Larger than life.
Sacd sound also, larger than life.A small doubt here , what is better avp or udi.I mean i haven't thoroughly tested the sound quality, avp vs udi , al24 vs al32, but i think they are close , with a small headstart to al32-udi.
As for loading times , (never cared much anyway) but with quick start on it's a bit faster than the 2500bt , that i still have.
I haven't timed them but i think udi is a little faster by 5-10 secs.I don't really care.
What bothered me in the beggining was the audio dropouts i experienced with hellboy2, the first days , though they seemed to dissapeared now, after 2 f/w updates.
Ofcourse as you know it's built like a tank Also it gets pretty warm , or even hot i could say. Like the rest of it's family.Eg avp-poa.
Remorte responsiveness is a bit funny , in a way, by means of getting the command imediately , but executing it , after a second, like skip chapter forward or backward.But never slow i have to admit.
I never had problems having the 3 led lit from day 1.While some other users had problems from the beggining, i hooked it up made the adjustments and worked flawlessly , since then.
It's a serious piece of equipment (like it's family , all the a1's) and needs serious reading-studying, but rewards you with fine performance everywhere.
I would like to check it out side by side with marantz's 9004 which is essentially the same player , and see, the difference if any , there is , with that , that justifies the price tag of marantz.
Unfortunatelly greece is a small country and i bought the first of 4 pcs that were imported by the rep here on a special price.I mean i don't know if marantz will import it here just to see what's on it.
I would like to see what the hell is in the marantz that makes it that more expensive.I know it's not the toroidal trnsformer or the bars beneath the top cover.
Anyway i love this machine , and i think it worths it's money and the patience we've put in , all lucky owners on it.
It's a magical crown , whoever wears it ,gets to be king.

C'est vraiment dommage de ne pas avoir de retour sur la qualité d'upscale de ce lecteur face au LX91. D'un point de vue image, c'est quand même ce poste qui fait la grosse différence entre le LX71 et le LX91. Ca serait bien d'avoir un retour sur ce point qui intéresse pas mal d'entre nous si vous avez un peu de temps pour passer un DVD ou une mire
