Ca commence à devenir intéressant cette histoire...

Plex est déjà lancé sur Fire TV et ça marche (sans transcodage) mais pas encore de support audio au delà du 2.0. Les gars de Plex bossent dessus et pour une MàJ de l'application.

A surveiller de très près ce FireTV, ça pourrait très rapidement devenir une box ultra-compétitive dans le monde des média players.

Seul truc qui va poser problème à un moment : la non gestion de l'autoframerate induite par Android (mais avec un peu de bol qq arrivera bien à corriger ce problème).

Bonjour,
Listant un peu toutes les boites multimédia du marché, l'Amazon Fire TV me semble la plus aboutie et la plus intéressante, se qui m'étonne c'est qu'ici dans le forum elle ne fait parler personne.
Le boitier est pourtant complet, avec un rootage de celui-ci on sait y installer Google Play et même lui donner l'illusion d'être une tablette Nexus 7 pour accepter le maximum d'applications du Store de Android.
Plex marche dessus bien mieux qu'avec la Chromecast (le wifi ça lag si plusieurs appareils sont connectés, contrairement au cable Ethernet direct qui est stable et ui permet de visionner les films en HD sans soucis).
Est-ce que quelqu'un à mis la main dessus en France ou dans un autre pays francophone, sur la version Americaine ou Anglaise, vu que la version Allemande n'arrive qu'en décembre 2014.

Certains acheteurs non Americains on acheter la Fire TV et dans pays respectifs, tout est fonctionnel, sauf les services Americain biensur, Hulu, Netflix, etc.

I got a fireTV off eBay as I am not an American, It worked out to about 2x the price that Americans are paying with the $85 sales lately. Anyway, heres what I did from taking it out of the box to booting XBMC. I downloaded adb from google & extracted the SDK platform-tools, and on the FireTV had to go into settings to enable ADB so I could push things to the device over the network. I done everything from CLI but I think you could get away with adbfire for most.
Exit bluestacks if installed as it screws with adb/adbfire, reboot adb server ('adb kill-server' followed by 'adb devices' reboots it), download the update file you want to install here:

Root with towel root, install SuperSU and Busybox

Repeat root and reinstall SuperSU and Busybox on latest rootable build. disable update service on the fireTV, so it stays that way.

Clear Play store cache from KFTV Launcher app section for settings to take. Least I had to.
In Play install Timezone Changer, run, set your timezone if outside USA zones. Install whatever else you want like ES File explorer, youtube, maps, chrome, VLC.
Install Xposed framework installer, HDXPosed 1.3, RboxFireTVMods1.2, SQlite Editor 9.
Launch Xposed framework, install it. Reboot
Launch SQlite Editor, Select "Settings Storage", Select "settings.db", Select the "global" table, Highlight the record "install_non_market_apps",

Streaming OTA TV from TVHeadend works, somewhat. Hardware Acceleration had to be enabled but neither mediacodec or libstagefright could be enabled without triggering an XBMC crash when attempting to open the stream. I was able to deinterlace but video playback is noticeably stuttery. Play around with the settings and see what works best for you. Skins like Aeon Nox 5 works great. Heres how to add Menus and Sub-

Menus to deal with things like Games, Streaming apps, etc.
Click on the APPS/PROGRAMS link on the home screen
Click the backwards arrow
Select Android Apps from the menu
Highlight the app that you want to add the shortcut for
Click the MENU button on the remote to bring up the context menu
Select Add To Favorites
Back out to your home screen
Select the Skin Settings submenu under SYSTEM
Select the first link at the top of the page (think its something like Aeon Nox Home Screen Settings or something like that)
Select the menu item on the left that you want to add the submenu item too (or select one of the Custom slots)
Select Manage Submenu (unless using one of the Custom slots that you want to be a direct link to the program)
Add the submenu item using the center box
Repeatedly click the Type button in the center box until the right hand box shows all of the items you have set as Favorites
In the right hand box, select the item you want and hit the center button on the remote

Back out to your home screen and the menu system should refresh
Thats it! you should have a fire TV blocked router and unit side from root killing updates, google play store functioning with Nexus 7 app support, booting to XBMC instead of KFTV Launcher, a working settings to configure bluetooth & possibly other things, the correct time in your menus, and no ads on youtube

Je déterre méchamment le sujet en fait je suis tombé sur cette promo:

Mon usage serait de lire des vidéos netflix et d'utiliser Kodi ou Plex (lecture de flux tv en direct avec un raspberry pi et TVHeadEnd + lecture de fichier video sur NAS).
Quelqu'un à déjà eu l'occasion de tester ce matos ?

Alors d'après les commentaires de Dealabs, ca ne supporte pas Molotov TV.
par contre contrairement au Chromecast c est indépendant comme une box donc pas besoin de smartphone pour le démarrer (d ou la télécommande fournie).

Rien que pour bénéficier de Amazon Prime j hésite à la prendre (en complément d'un Chromecast).

j'ai eu le problème une fois, j'ai simplement fais un reset data / cache de l'appli, et ça a fonctionné ensuite.
Va dans les paramètres du stick => Applications => Gérer les applications installées => Clic sur Molotov
Et tu auras les options pour effacer les données et le cache.

Molotov avait fonctionné ensuite sans jamais me remettre l'erreur DRM.
Sinon redémarre ton stick

Bref commandé livraison prévue demain on verra bien si je peux lui caser kodi et molotov

Bonjour alors colis reçu hier j'ai commencé à faire joujou
Voici donc le petit paquet

A l'intérieur on trouve (de gauche à droite): Des piles, la télécommande, un cable d'alim usb, un cable hdmi (pour déporter la clé), la clé en elle même et enfin la prise usb.

J'ai essayé de brancher la bête sur le port usb de ma tv mais ça ne marche pas

J'ai donc été obligé de passer par la prise fournie.
Au niveau des tests j'ai installé et utilisé netflix et kodi sans aucun problème.

J'ai aussi installé molotov mais j'ai un message d'erreur dû à l'absence des google services. Je n'ai pas essayé la manip que j'ai transmise plus haut j'essaierai ce soir.

Ce Fire Stick arrive un peu tard en France avec toutes ces boxes android qui sont depuis un moment sur le marché.
Pour ma part, j'ai déjà Amazon Prime Video installé sur ma Xiaomi Mi Box. En plus de Kodi et de Molotov TV.

Mais pour ceux qui n'ont pas de box TV, ce Stick peut être interessant.
