Faceplate apart, they are the same. I wonder if the different face plate, has any acoustical influence on this tweeter. The only thing that I can say, that the regular 6600 is a very nice tweeter on my illumina 66.

I know well that the 6600 is an excellent tweeter, but from the arrangements and datasheets have a different response measurement, as well as the angular dispersion.
therefore will play differently even if only slightly.
For example, the 6600 is the most sensitive part of 6620, only one db, but has a worse dispersion and is less linear extension
it would be interesting if someone had compared, mean tonally

I didn't listen to these two tweeters but at choice stage I would certainly take into consideration the use of the speaker, such as the axial listening spot and the effect of room characteristics in the high frequencies. The shape of the transfert function of the high-pass filter will certainly be the main reason of the listening result.
