"HDI to come in November
The pressure is building up for peeps awaiting the new HDI 3.0 units that will introduce the "next" generation from HDI after PopCorn Hour already revealed it's C-200 model which mainly impressed us by hardware mostly. If it will make a better first impression than PCH model we don't know yet but will certainly find out later this month as samples are expected to come somehwere in October for us to get "hands on" with the BD Prime 3.0.
For the official launch date, HDI is still saveguarding any firm dates but has claimed the final productions should come in November where resellers can start selling the 3.0 generation to customers. As with the earlier units, the BD Prime 3.0 will come as a full BD player including a BD-Loader and support both original and backed up blu-ray files among all the other formats we gotten used to. Being based on the SMP8642 chip from Sigma, it should be capable of competing with PCH's new unit. The outcome of a comparison will mainly relate on firmware levels and hardware quality.
HDI stated that the BD Prime will not launch at the same time with the Base model. The latter model will come few weeks after the BD Prime release and have the same features as the BD Prime, but without the loader integrated and some other small differences. So far we noticed quite some interest in these next generations and hopefully they will live up to these expectations. Surely HDI has received a lot of feedback on the earlier models that should have helped getting their new models become even better although we must always include new chips and new SDK's not always are stable... We seen that clearly enough on many of the new players launched already so do I feel a showdown in firmware updates coming between these two brands...?"
C'est tout bon!!
en gros ça dit qu'il ne faut pas acheter la new pch et attendre la dune 3.0 ?
